Beverley School – Rainforest Mural
Client: Beverley School, Toronto
Project Context: Freelance commission
Scale: Three mural panels spanning two adjoining pool walls, 100 square metres

Objective

Bring colour, warmth, and visual interest into the school’s indoor pool environment, creating a space that felt welcoming and engaging for children while holding up to repeated use and viewing.

Solution

I began by hand-drawing the rainforest animals and compositional elements, then importing the illustrations into a digital workflow where they were painted, refined, and scaled. The final artwork was developed as a layered, collage-style composition and formatted into three mural panels designed to wrap two adjoining pool walls. Colour, contrast, and scale were carefully balanced to maintain clarity and visual continuity throughout the space.

Following installation, the artwork was adapted into a limited-edition print for a school fundraising auction. Selected elements were later distilled into greeting card sets, extending the life of the work while supporting additional fundraising efforts.
